Julie and Ryan’s Bridgeview Yacht Club Long Beach Wedding

Julie and Ryan got married at the lovely Bridgeview Yacht Club on a gorgeous September afternoon.

Julie and Ryan chose to do a first look before the actual wedding ceremony!  I’m so glad they did, they are always so fun and full of wonderful photo opportunities!

So sweet!!

Only real men carry the bouquet as their soon-to-be wife navigates the wooden planks in her heels.

When I first met Julie and Ryan long ago in a Starbucks, I knew after only a few minutes how much I wanted to photograph their wedding.  Look at that laughter, with these two its nonstop!

Last moments before the ceremony!

Look how radiant Julie looks arm in arm with her parents!

How happy does Ryan look?  Even a first look does not take away from seeing the woman you love walk down the aisle…

Thank you Greg for scaling the roof to get this great angle of the wedding ceremony!

Married!!!!

After the ceremony we did some group shots, I love this bridal party who was willing to get their “lean on” as I called it. Traditional with a twist!

And while I’m doing the shot list, Greg perfectly captures the sweetness of the little flower girls as they admire the fountain.

Evidence that a flower girl had been here…

Julie’s bouquet was lovely, it looked like it had been picked from an English garden.

Julie and Ryan did such an amazing job personalizing the club with images from their time together as a couple and also as seen here, pictures of their parents on their wedding day!!

How cool is that cake topper!?

Julie and Ryan have their first dance…

…and laugh all the way through it!

I should have known that these two would be awesome enough to have a hotdog stand at their wedding!!! LOVE!!!  The rings just had to be photographed on the mustard!

Julie and her Dad wave and give thumbs up to the guests during their father/daughter dance…

…while Ryan and his Mom surprised the whole place when they rocked it out to Guns N’ Roses’ classic, Sweet Child O’ Mine.

Just when Mom thought she could sit down, she was called up to dance with her husband as it was their wedding anniversary of 39 years!

I love this picture.  Dancing a circle, a wedding classic but its more than that.  For me its the way the little flower girl is looking up at the bride, her beautiful Aunt Julie!

And they dance and they danced and they danced!!!

Until one flower girl had to wait patiently….

…while the other mended her dancing injury!

Julie’s Mom and Dad enjoyed dancing around!

I call this one the daughter-in-law sandwich!  This lucky lady in the middle is the mother-in-law to these two fun ladies in front of and behind her!

These two deserve a medal for dancing to every song no matter what!  They brought the dance floor to life, which is not always easy to do during a day wedding!

Hey, you never know when when your going to need your shades!

It was Lady Gaga!!  I love when I can remember what song was playing as I took the image!  You go girl!

We all know it’s not a successful party til someone hits the floor, in this case purposely and with great form!

Honestly, could they be any cuter?

One of my favorite traditions!! Julie was a little hesitant but thankfully a fellow photographer buddy got her to go up, she knew it would lead to great shots!  Thanks Kristen!

To think Dad thought he could get away…

…then he owned it!!!

Next I heard, “of course you can go for a ride” said the Mom of the ring bearer! LOVVVVE!!

Not finished yet, now it was the flower girl’s turn, she was a little bit more hesitant yet still very brave!

Then as if she has been hoisted up onto moving chairs her whole life (3 or 4 years maybe?), the youngest flower girl sat there and enjoyed the ride like a little princess!  In this case the videographer getting in my shot only adds to it! Lucky for him!

Then of course, the groom gets a turn!!!

I would like to make this mandatory at all weddings!!!

And while all this fun and craziness was going on, the youngest ring bearer was the smartest one of all…quietly tasting all the cookies!

There were lots of hugs as the wedding came to an end…

…then I pulled them outside for one more portrait as the light was supreme!

Julie and Ryan, we wish you tons of health because with the way you two laugh we don’t have to wish you happiness- we know you will fill your days with it easily!  Thank you for the honor of allowing us to document this incredible day for you!
