Liza & Eric’s Wedding Part 2

Welcome to part 2 of Liza & Eric’s romantic, fun and creative wedding day!  For those of you that may have missed part 1, you can scroll down and see the blog post directly after this one!

Liza & Eric arrived at the magnificent Kittle House in style and great spirits- they took a moment in front before descending down the back staircase to greet their guests in the yard!

It’s rare that this gets to happen and with such perfect height perspective for us!  Using the staircase we were able to capture a group photograph of all the wedding attendees!

Ok, lets talk about creative details. Liza & Eric and family crew members did an amazing job putting together interesting aspects of Liza & Eric’s life to create a wedding full of unique and personal details. Here, pots of African Violets not only served as table decorations but as thank you gifts as well.  Guests found their names on vintage inspired flower packet tags and each table was assigned by using a different flower name.

The guests signed this matted poem about how the two fell in love instead of a traditional guest book!  Love it!

Delicious cupcakes that you will learn later have some special meaning during the “cut the cake”!

RSVP cards!!  How cool are these?  Liza & Eric sent out a line drawing cartoon of themselves and asked their guests to decorate it and send it back.  On the wall at the reception awards were given to highlight some of the best of the RSVP cards!!

Even the food was personalized!  Eric & Liza set up stations of food that represented their travels from around the world!  Guests were not only well fed with unique cuisine but further learned about the evolution of Liza & Eric’s love!

Oh the first dance!  Having just left the ceremony where Liza did pull ups in her wedding dress and knowing that Eric is a Cross Fit guy, I wondered if their first dance might be something of a show?  Casually I asked Eric if there was anything I needed to know about the first dance- you know, like flips or tricks?  He answered me with a smile and a vague, “just regular”. Ha!  I should have known that his “regular” was by no means “regular” at all!  Liza & Eric entered the room and danced their first dance to “Pencil Full of Lead”,  a fun, FAST and awesome song for swing dancing!  As we took pictures we were in awe and amazed over these two and their incredible dance ability!  This was really a place for video because photographs do not do justice to how awesome these two dance!!!

Liza & Eric’s Moms had so much fun at the wedding!!  I love when the Moms are friends!

Not sure exactly what is going on here, but Eric’s Dad and Liza had some dance floor communications and gestures that had everyone in hysterics!

When it was time to “cut the cake” the guests were given a demo on how to properly eat a cupcake, a technique Liza learned from her years of attending summer camp!

Thank you Beyonce for creating “All the Single Ladies”, a song  that has created endless fun times and images at wedding receptions this year!

Can you guess which song inspired the ladies to rally behind Liza?

And the men behind Eric?  Think 1978!!!

Til finally the two can unite in their love? ‘Summer Nights’ from the Grease sound track, of course!

Liza & Eric thank you so much for the honor of being there to document your incredible wedding day!  Your love and your energy are truly an inspiration to be around!
